Navigating the recent changes in CDPAP (Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program) can be overwhelming. If you’re feeling frustrated, confused, or simply not getting the support you need, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to face this transition by yourself.
At HealthAide, we are not a home health care agency.
We are intermediaries who work directly with families like yours to match you with the right PCA (Personal Care Assistant) services — quickly, easily, and at no cost to you.
A Personal Care Assistant (PCA) provides hands-on support with everyday tasks such as bathing, dressing, mobility, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
PCA services are ideal for individuals who need help managing daily activities but no longer qualify for or wish to stay in the CDPAP program.
Our team ensures you’re matched with a certified, compassionate PCA through a reputable agency — one that can provide consistent, quality care for your loved one.
We know the PCA providers in your area. We can help you find one that matches your needs and preferences.
Switching from CDPAP to PCA can feel complicated. We make the process simple, walking you through every step.
Our service is completely free to you. We’re paid by the agencies, not by families.
We take the time to understand your situation and find an agency that fits — whether you need help for yourself, a parent, or another loved one.
No long waiting lists or unanswered calls. We act fast to get you connected with care.
Not everyone can provide PCA services. Here’s how it works:
In short, under PCA services, patients cannot hire their immediate family members
— such as a son, daughter, spouse, father, or mother — unlike under CDPAP.
Important: If no eligible family member, friend, or neighbor is available, we will also help the patient find a certified Home Health Aide (HHA) to ensure they still receive the care and support they need.
Along with finding a certified home health aide for your loved one, we also help eligible family members, friends, and neighbors become certified home health aides.
This allows families to:
Our goal is to help families stay connected while ensuring loved ones receive the highest quality care possible.
We’ll speak with you to learn more about your situation and your needs.
Based on your preferences and location, we’ll recommend the best available PCA providers.
We’ll help you with paperwork and scheduling so you can begin receiving services as soon as possible.
Switching from CDPAP to PCA doesn’t have to be stressful.
HealthAide is your trusted partner in finding the right care solution.
Let us help you make the transition with confidence and peace of mind.
