Simplified CDPAP Enrollment in 5 Easy Steps

So you're considering enrolling in CDPAP with Health Aide Inc? To ensure your enrollment process is both efficient and straightforward, here are 5 steps to follow:

Assess Your Circumstances

Your journey to enroll in CDPAP will vary based on your individual situation. If you’re already benefiting from home care services under a Medicaid plan, the enrollment steps for you may be fewer than for those new to Medicaid plans. Our specialists at Health Aide Inc can clarify the specific steps you’ll need to take for CDPAP enrollment.

Maintain Open Communication

Effective and open communication is crucial for a seamless enrollment into CDPAP. Failing to communicate can lead to delays or missed steps necessary for a prompt and successful enrollment.

Be Proactive

Enrolling in CDPAP involves completing essential paperwork from you, your personal assistant, and your doctor. Actively participating in gathering and submitting these documents is vital.

Keep Deadlines in Mind

Understanding the deadlines for enrolling in a Medicaid plan that’s part of your CDPAP enrollment is essential. Ensure you’re clear about the timelines for evaluations and necessary documents for the upcoming month. If you’re unsure, our CDPAP experts at Health Aide Inc are available to discuss any urgent deadlines that could impact your enrollment.

Select a Fiscal Intermediary (FI)

Choosing a Fiscal Intermediary is an integral part of the enrollment process. This entity will handle your personal assistant’s payroll. Health Aide Inc, a NY State Certified Fiscal Intermediary, boasts a dedicated team ready to assist you at each step of your CDPAP journey, from enrollment through the commencement of services. We prioritize your case and would be privileged to be your chosen FI.

We’re eager to assist you in taking charge of your home care by hiring someone you trust, such as a family member or friend, to provide your care. For more information on starting with Health Aide Inc, please reach out to us at: (347) 625-3190

Typically, you would need to select either Health Aide or standard home care services as your insurance provider may ask you to choose one. Health Aide does not add hours to your approved plan of care. For instance, if you’re approved for 20 hours of care per week, you can receive those 20 hours either through Health Aide or regular home care, but not both combined.

My experience with Health Aide Inc has been tremendously positive. I am in a situation of having to take care of my sister who is developmentally disabled. I felt overwhelmed with the responsibility of taking care of my sister physically and financially, and not being able to go to work because my sister needs 24 hour care. And also the stress of living in NYC, a very expensive city. Health Aide Inc touched my heart with their professionalism, excellent communication and effectiveness. Health Aide Inc helped me every step of the way to help my sister and I to get into CDPAP program. All of the stress that I felt because of the large responsibility of caring for my sister was exchanged for a wonderful, calm confidence that everything was going to work out well. If there were 100 stars, I would give Health Aid Inc. 100 stars.
